Genevieve Fischer

Genevieve began practicing Yoga in 1997 and has taught in the South Bay since 2000. She received her teacher training through Yoga Works, Santa Monica, under Annie Carpenter and Lisa Walford. Her primary influences in teaching have been Seane Corn, Laura Miles, Heath House, Shiva Rea and Vinnie Marino.

Genevieve has studied classical ballet since age 7, and her classes emphasize precise alignment, grace, balance, and joyful movement. A Connecticut native, she was formerly a buyer for Bloomingdale’s and Tiffany & Co. in New York, a retail PR account executive, and manager of a South Bay yoga studio – a winding path that prepared her to venture out on her own and open Yoga Loft. In her free time, Gen still dances, avidly hikes and cuddles her cats, Spike and Dockers.
