All Levels Vinyasa flow is dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Flow yoga classes tend to be more vigorous and aerobic, and classes can have a variety of music and themes. Our teachers have their own unique pacing, so we encourage you to take class with all of our incredible instructors. 

Please Note:

-Capacity is limited to 14 students max. Advanced registration is recommended. Busier classes that are sold out will only accept advanced registrants. 

-Doors open 10 minutes before class and close 10 minutes after class.

-Masks may be taken off on your mat during practice. We ask that you wear a face covering as you walk through our lobby and common areas. 
 
-Please practice with us from home if you are exhibiting cold and allergy symptoms (coughing + sneezing).

-Windows and doors will be open to provide ample ocean breeze for ventilation.

-Shared Yoga props are available in studio. If you would like to purchase props we do sell them in our boutique and on our online store (click store).

In Studio: Slow Flow

Slow Flow is a creative, therapeutic flow designed to bring balance to the body and the mind through holding poses and exploring what each pose has to offer you. When we slow down we relax the nervous system, we focus on our breath, & we become stronger mentally and physically. Slow does not always mean easier or less challenging. 

This class is perfect for those working with injuries, beginners, or those wishing to move at a slower pace.

-Capacity is limited to 14 students max. Advanced registration is recommended. Busier classes that are sold out will only accept advanced registrants. 

-Doors open 10 minutes before class and close 10 minutes after class.

Join us for an all levels Katonah Yoga inspired functional flow that includes breath work (pranayama), long holds of poses designed to untangle the body, and flow to move and awaken stagnant energy in the body while refining form and function. 
 
About Katonah Yoga®:

Katonah Yoga is a syncretic Hatha yoga practice developed by Nevine Michaan over 40 years. She and her teachers incorporate classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor, and imagination — in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being.Framing the practice, maps of time and personal space are defined and refined. Themes using asana as origami, manipulating form for function, and developing a sense of personal measure are incorporated in Katonah Yoga practices.

Katonah Yoga is organized around three principles of esoteric dialogue: all polarities are mediated by trinity; the universe has pattern, pattern belies intelligence; by virtue of repetition there is potential for insight.

In Studio: Advanced Flow

Advanced Yoga flow is designed for seasoned yogis with a very solid understanding of basic yoga postures who are comfortable performing or exploring advanced poses and transitions that include arm balances and inversions.

The advanced-intermediate student practices yoga regularly and has begun to master connection of breath with movement.  Expect a sweaty, vigorous, and physically demanding 75 minute class.

In Studio: Calm + Reiki

In Studio: Calm + Reiki

CALM will allow you to enjoy the feelings of rejuvenation and steadiness that arise from a Yin Yoga practice mixed with some Restorative Yoga postures. This class will incorporate calming breath work with longer holds of postures providing a deep sense of stretch and relief. In Yin Yoga the long holds of poses will target deep connective tissue increasing flexibility, boosting joint health, and providing a deep sense of calm in the mind and body. 

All participants in the class will receive distance Reiki at the end of class. Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

This class is recommended for all levels of practictioners. In studio props are available to share.

Meditation is a grounding practice which helps you to know yourself better, appreciate yourself and others more, and allows you to get a more relaxed and sound sleep.Science has proven that regular meditation can have powerful long-lasting effects. Meditation helps to activate our rest-and-digest system and begin the process of ushering our body back to a more natural and calm state. Our body begins to heal and grows stronger and more resilient.

Through mediation you begin to notice your body and mind more easily let go of daily stressors and challenges. You feel calmer. You can focus more clearly. You can be more creative. You feel more balanced and comfortable in your skin.

We will incorporate various breath techniques into this class that elicit the calming response in the mind and body.
